Getting in Touch
Tracy is passionate about how we can all ‘do our bit’ to create new opportunities for jobs, skills and training especially where we can demonstrate there is another way, or work harder at ‘what works’ on the ground. She works across public, private, social enterprise, business, voluntary, education and community groups to imagine what is possible, scope out and create what’s needed and ultimately mobilise and make it happen. Her work and network reaches across JCP networks, intermediaries, councils and business.
A 20 year career in local government spanned HR and economic development. Tracy led Knowsley’s employment and skills agenda for 10 years and worked with sub-regional partners, government and stakeholders to have a joined up approach to public service delivery. She led Future Jobs Fund which saw 8,000 young people gain jobs, bringing together 10 Greater Manchester Councils, New Economy and public authorities. She also pioneered a programme as part of the NESTA Centre for Social Action and Innovation fund, combining volunteering, social action and jobs which is now scaling.
Tracy has spoken at DWP Select Committees, at local, regional, national has been invited to speak about her work in the US and Europe.
Tracy has been an Associate Director (north west) for the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion, is a Fellow of the Institute of Employability Professionals and NW Ambassador and Chair of the NW group.
