The People's Powerhouse is hiring

Join our winning team!

We bring northerners together so that they can decide what the future of the North should look like. We listen, deliberate and decide together so that everyone’s voice is heard by those with influence, so that they can be the best they can be to create social and economic change.

Every year we run a large Convention where hundreds of people come together to discuss what’s important for the North. Before the pandemic we held these in different towns such as Doncaster, Bradford, Sunderland and in 2020 our plan was to be in Blackpool.

However, as with most of you, our work is online – for now and the foreseeable future.

A key plank of our work are our new Listening Events - with Mayors, Council leaders, businesses, MPs and local people convening and being heard by those in power who are in ‘listening mode’.  These have hit a real chord with people and we’re now set to run more throughout 2021.

We’re very busy and we need your help!  We need people to join us to help deliver an ambitious programme of engagement across the North.  We’re keen to have 3 new people to spread the roles and responsibilities, generate more capacity, widen the skills base and grow our work even more.
